She likes her job, her team (and she’s good at it), but when Bones catches up with her she has to confront her choice and some of those repressed feelings.Ĭat, as a government ‘vampire slayer,’ also finds herself with a hit against her (go figure).
Cat has a new job working for a government agency leading hits against vampires. In book 2, Bones and Cat are reunited after four years. This may be true, and she had to bear the pain of leaving him, but it also allowed her to ignore some deep seated issues she was dealing with due to her upbringing regarding vampires.
At the end of book 1, Cat makes a choice, she cuts Bones out of his life, allegedly, for his own safety.
After leaving us in relationship hell at the end of book 1, we get a shot at redemption in book 2 of the series.
